Re: Getting right naffed off !

Hi all,

Yes Capt. I won't argue over a few miles, I thought it was 11. You are quite right but that is from sea level to sea level, if you stand on the shore the horizon is, as you say. If however there are cliffs on the horizon then the distance is further. There is a formula for this, but I'm not clever enough to work it out, or should I say I'm not aware of the formula.

I'd like the views of Just Mark on the trip.

Regards

Drew

Re: Getting right naffed off !

Hi all,

Tommy, Ian Goff will find the fish no matter where they are up to 50 miles offshore. The only problem is, the boat is not a cat and can be uncomfortable to fish on. It doesn't bother me but other people prefer a more stable boat.

Regards

Drew

Re: Getting right naffed off !

Flypin heck 50 miles out now thats a long way to go and a long time travelling there and back with quite a lot less fishing time. Wouldnt mind travelling say about 30 miles or so taking what about 1 -2 hours but 50 is a bit beyond my desperation for a few fish !!!!

Ill be looking to get out eventually and see whats about at 20 miles from Exmouth - just a few around the 8lb mark would more than suffice me and my old man!

Re: Getting right naffed off !

depending on tide flow you could prob gain a couple of knots, especially as you were nearly in france.
