Caught out!

seen the forecast, cr*p, web site i normally use for wind&weather down, but used the met......decided to walk the dog with mum and kids, got down the beach.......suns shining and nearly not a cloud in sight, sea flat as a mill pond, NO NO NO, whats going on, got quickly back in the car shot home loaded up the car and headed down to the boat, lost two hours missed the 12oclock lock! waited for the 1 oclock, got out the harbour mouth and the sea was covered in white horses and decidedly lumpy, well i thought, great, well i'm here now, so see how uncomfortable it is for a while, moved to a inshore mark chucked out the anchor, baited three out of four rods, took eldest son with me, who has been bugging me everyday for a month to get out, turns around and said", Dad I don't feel very well!" It was decidely rough and the old back complains next day if i over do the rough stuff, sooooooooo back in we go!
Heyho, thats the way it goes I guess.

Re: Caught out!

Unlucky mate. I would have handed the son a brush and bucket and told him to keep himself occupied for an hour or so lol.
