| Re: Tommy & Kiwi. Weekend of 18th 19th Dec hey all, So not too many days before the orestone boat meet comenses. And things are hotting up at home now as well, the fishing conversation around the house has moved up a gear, its now running around every ten/fifteen mins somebody (Jules or I usually start it but outside influence has been injected from time to time without any promting from either of us) mention's a piscotorial subject. The dinner table is the favorite area of conversation as occastionally were masticating (thats "masticating", or eating for those who need it) a conversation topic at the time, also the audience is captive as dinner tables are a very polite arena, so people feel the need to encorage you to finish your piont and with this being a fishing house the piont can last for hours. Another tell tale sign that fishing in the boat is looming comes from the influx of fishing mags and parifinalia that as men we automatically horde thinking that "this will come in handy someday i just know it", so fishing techniques and equipment from yesteryear are displayed with great pride and if they only produce a small conversation or rapport then it was worth keeping for all those years. In the fishing room we have infomation on fishing left buy cavemen, paited on stone tablets dipicting the first fishing rod ever (a large pionted stick, and the patented downwards thrusting motion followed buy the war cry " B*gger!!, missed that blooddy thing again). We are getting more and more excited as the days reel closer, soon it will be the start of the fishy mantra and other strange customs that have worked their way in to the build up preperation before a big trip. I have started to boil up some old chinese herbs(thats what the old hippie told me they were!) in readyness for the mornings innoculation of super catching potion. And spinkle around the craft so Neptune smiles on our fortune. The count down has started later six(matt) __________________ women? fish? women? fish? women? fish? fish? fish? fish? fish? die! |

| Re: Tommy & Kiwi. Weekend of 18th 19th Dec If you can, fish between 300 to 500 yards out from hopes nose. I've heard more reports of double figure cods beging taken. The highest so far is still the 17lb cod caught the week before last. Brixham has died off a little but the nose seems to be holding the doubles well. Hope that helps a little. __________________ Simon "4 Rods" TorbayFishing.Com - Beginners guide to sea fishing, news, reviews & more! |

| Calm whats the meaning of this word. If it means that as the days draw closer all I can think about is dragging up any type of fish from davey jones locker buy its mouth, giving it its only photoshoot then klunking it on the head with a large iron bar only to find it's self in a fridge or on the table anionted with a compot of tasty flavors, then i'm calm. If buy the calming statement you means i can't get excited buy the prospect of FISHING (yeah say it agian FISHING!!!) then i don't think i can or can be bothered to. I'm ready, I've never been so ready to do anything. It's been ages since i've been out and now i think i have withdrawral. i know i need help but leave me for now in my world of euphoria untill the first fish is on board, then leave me for bit longer to relish and bathe in the glory. And I ask you what eles have i got to be reall happy about?
