not sure if they sell them at exmouth but if not i know they sell live eels at teignmouth and i phoned him today and he will have eels next week on the spring tides :) all you need is a bucket with a secure lid and a air pump. also if your going out to sea take another bucket again with a secure lid try if you can to make it so that the 2nd bucket can fit in the 1st drill lots of holes in the 2nd bucket and whilst drifting or moored in the harbour leave this over the back of the boat with the eels in and they will stay alive forever then whilst on the move pull up the bucket and place it inside the first bucket so the eels still have water :) __________________ fishing for fish is not as simple as you may think!

Having only really been fishing in Exmouth for last year I cant remember seeing live eels - do you get from the tackle shop or from the docks ? Thanks for the advice on keeping the buggers alive - Im going to have a go at digging some off the beach in May and June - see if there are any around !! Dave - whats the number of the shop you get your live eels from mate - might need to check there for the 8th of May. __________________ So near yet so far - Wembley 2008 - Zideered Right Up !

yep drift with a live sandeel on a long flowing trace. if there is bass around they will take it if not the mackeral will soon snaffle a live sandeel. when you go buy the eels from trevor ask him if he has heard of any bass he is a netsman so im sure if they are around he will know about it __________________ fishing for fish is not as simple as you may think!

hi guys take a leaf out of the profesional bass rod and liners book, they fish live eels on a four ft trace with 2-3oz weights and let it bump along the bottom, they dont use zip sliders just american snap links for the weight, keep it as simple as you can, and they only use 12lb rods with fixed spool reels and max 30lb line most use 20lb mono. When Wight Huntress was doing it we had a rod in each hand and as soon as one hooked up we would put the other in a holder. good fun but very tiring day after day. for best results go on the spring tides.
