| 6 Species & A Rite Laugh ! Finally managed to sort the weather out last week and work and me and the old man took our Arvor 215 out of Exmouth for a days fun - to be honest fish werent the only reason for getting out - simply being out with the blue and white water steaming off the stern as we made our way out was great. Caught a measly two makeral on the way - seems they have been largely annymous off Exmouth for long periods this summer - very strange ? Visited one wreck only 6 miles out but had three on it so gave up on it - went to another and spent a few hours there. Blistering sun, coffee and bacon sandwiches cooked to order and it was heaven ! To cap off the trip we ended up with makeral, 2 undersize bass ( bust still bass ), 20lb conger ( not the targeted ling but I love congers and their fight ), doggie, pouting to about 4lb, and gurnard - our first off Exmouth for a few years. It was an ace day out and one to be repeated very soon as the pollack look to make an appearance we hope ! __________________ So near yet so far - Wembley 2008 - Zideered Right Up ! |

| Re: 6 Species & A Rite Laugh ! Baggie, Boat on a swing mooring all summer and we may have it in the marina for the winter - if anyone down there ever gets their arse in gear - you are right though mate some big mullet. Ive been sat on the water taxi at 8. 00am in the summer with an outgoing tide and seen literally hundreds of mullet going out on the tide - enough to cover the whole entrance to the marina !!!! Heres hoping to having the boat down there all winter and getting out to a few wrecks for some pollack ! __________________ So near yet so far - Wembley 2008 - Zideered Right Up ! |
