| Re: where to go boat fishing in south devon Tom I live not far from you and have recently been on some great trips out of Paignton on a boat called Tuonella. The Skipper, Pete, really knows his stuff and has never failed to get us on the fish every time. Even when other boats have come back with nothing I even caught my very first Conger. Cost for a full day is £30 and rod hire if needed is an extra £5 |

| Re: where to go boat fishing in south devon Pete does half day and evening trips too I believe. Don't know the cost of those. Best cure for a hangover is bobbing about in a force 5 westerly 10 miles off Start Point ;0) |

| Re: where to go boat fishing in south devon Hi Tom, You have two of the best skippers and fishing boats on your doorstep. Dave Harrisons "Gemini" out of Dartmouth and Ian Goffs "Shande" out of Exmouth are both excellent fishing boats and come highly recommended by members of this forum. I along with many other members of the forum have been out fishing on these boats and I would have difficulty in preferring one over the other. If pressed I would suggest that you used Gemini as it is a cat and is more comfortable to fish on if there is a swell, and also it is on your doorstep. The choice is yours, please let us know how you got on. Regards Drew __________________ All that Glitters is not Gold Secretary of The Blandford Sea Angling Club |

| Re: where to go boat fishing in south devon Hi, Quote "preferably deep sea for cod/pollock" If you only want a half day, then forget a deepsea trip as it would take at least an hour and a half to get to your marks and the same for the return Journey. If you are all going to be hungover from the night before might I suggest that you just spend the next day in your beds. I cant think of a skipper who would want a crowd of hungover idiots on his boat, please stay clear of the two that I recommended, both of them would refuse to put to sea if they thought that you were incapable.
