| A Complete Disaster Hi all, Sunday 19th, it might have been Friday 13th for what it is worth. On a beautiful Sunday sunny morning, I met up with with AndyG, Mule (Imran) accompanied by his Lady friend and 7 of the Blandford SAC in the car park at Weymouth all ready to board Paul Whittals Offshore Rebel for a days Turbot/Plaice fishing. Well! we fished and fished all day long in beautiful conditions, we drank tea, coffee and Bovril and enjoyed our packed lunches. We told a few clean jokes, well I did but they didn't go down very well, not funny enough. We drank more tea, coffee and Bovril and as it was a really warm day we all removed our floaties and drank more tea, coffee and Bovril. Yes a baby Plaice was caught that was filleted, (I couldn't believe it). and a lovely 5 pounder + 3 doggies. All in all a completely disasterous day with most of the crew blanking. Still, we are all out again on the 2nd May with Steve Porter on True Blue hunting Bream. Regards Drew __________________ All that Glitters is not Gold Secretary of The Blandford Sea Angling Club |

| Re: A Complete Disaster Unlucky Drew. Myself and Elliot (DB,DB) went out on Ivan Wellington's boat Top Cat from Weymouth on Sunday as well. Fortunatly for us our results were somewhat better. I will put a full report up in a minute, but in short we had a cracking day. Everyone on board caught. We had Big BLonde Rays, Conger, Bull Hus, Mackerell and some lovely Cod. I am a little surprised Paul opted for Turbot fishing on such bad tides. I think Paul is a great skipper and I go out with hime regularly. There are quite a few Bream about to the East of Weymouth now, but once again you don't have a great set of tides. We are going out the first Sunday in June for the Bream with Ivan again. I am hoping to have my own boat at around the same time. __________________ Check my blog for a daily fishing forecast from Weymouth, Portland, Chesil Beach & Kimmeridge Bay. www.fishingtails.co.uk |

| Re: A Complete Disaster Hi Portland Pirate, It wasn't Pauls fault, he was asked to take us on a Turbot/Plaice trip. The night before we were offered a mid channel wrecking trip but it was turned down. Regards Drew __________________ All that Glitters is not Gold Secretary of The Blandford Sea Angling Club |

F5 to F6 cold northeast wind and un-fishable conditions, I,ll swear those waves were four metre as we could hardly stand up no fish were caught. John __________________ Poor prep= Pathetic Performance |
