| Lucky or what The "Carnage Crew" at long last took to the high seas yesterday, dawn broke without a breath of wind, very few clouds and the promise of sun. 0730 crew mustered at Gosport ferry, 0740 phone call from Paul our skipper, "sorry John starter motor's smoking, cancel it." Gloom and doom or what, six anglers booted and suited....no boat. Going out of Portsmouth harbour was Jo-Dan another chater boat, but she didn't seem to have many on board, out mobile one quick call and there was a 35" cat turning round to pick us up. The fishing wasn't great, dogs pout stap conger two small whitting and one cod, but a great day out. Jo-Dan is a 10m Wildcat new this year, more electronics than currys, fast and stable, can Fish 12 in comfort, I could go on for ages...well impressed.
