new to this and need help in congor and spurdog ???baits from a boat and how to fish it

Spurdogs you will have to go well off shore to catch {May time of year}
For Congers fresh bait is the trick mackerel, pout, cuttlefish head or freshly jigged squid all fished hard on the bottom on a 2ft trace with 8/0 or 10/0 hooks
