Well done baz...the shetlands are nice.

Then you got no cleaning problems :)

Re: got my boat

thats what my mates are gonna be doing think ill get them to sighn a legaly binding contract saying you fish you clean, i think that would work. Took them out off of dover breakwater and they got hooked on that booked a charter up next month and i think that will give them the boat bug so will probably be able to get them to clean it. i have managed to turn four die hard carp anglers in to sea fishing addicts.

Re: got my boat

Congratulations!!!!
Hi Baz, I've got a 535 with a 40 on the back and it really goes well. Are you an experienced boater? If not I can give you a few tips on its handling and eccentricities, don't worry there aren't many.

Are you gonna be trailing it or mooring it up? I trailed for a year and it really cuts down your fishing time as you often won't bother to go for a short trip, moored you can cut and run whenever, tide permitting. Also if you moor you never clean it, you want any thieves to look at it shake their heads and move on the nice clean shiny one.

Whatever you do don't ever add up the pounds of fish you catch and devide int price of boat! It makes each mackeral cost about 200 quid. However the amount of fun you get is priceless.

Enjoy and stay safe, Remember a boat is just a hole in the water you try and fill with money,
Kindest regards, Jules.

Re: got my boat

Congrats Baz in getting a boat.

I can confirm that there is nothing better than just sitting on it fiddling around even if you can't get out.

Never take any chances with the weather, if you hesitate don't go out, it is better to get it wrong that never go out again.

Have fun

Regards

Codfather

Never a truer statement, dread to think how much its worked out for the 6 trips we have managed this year. Missed best weather at begining of the year when trailer collapsed by the time I had got the money together and replaced trailer weather turned bad But will not give it up worth it for those perfect days when sea is like a mill pond and the fish are biting and every one is massive ? or was that a dream I had
