Re: new boat has arrived

went back down today to put all the gear from old boat back on to the new one.had more time to look at everything today and was well impressed with layout of it. little things like built in tackle box, loads of storage space, and a live bait tank, so needless to say will be looking for somewhere to purchase some live sandeel. the only disturbing thing was the anchor set up, it came with only chain and no rope, with the guy from cambrian boats saying that when they tried to connect the rope to the chain it would not feed through the hole. (forgot to mention it came with electric windlass). on further investigation found that they had put 8mm chain instead of 6mm. not so much of a problem using all chain but the manual says that you must fit some sought of bracket to take the strain off the windlass when at anchor. also had to buy a fresh water anode as it onl y came with sea water version.if anyone has any thoughts on the chain prob please let me know.
so enough said for today praying for some decent weather now to get out there and give it a whirl.

Re: new boat has arrived

You need the rope to act as ashock absorber when at anchor ,if you run a chain only set up you will keep popin the anchor in a choppy sea
