hi

went out on atlanta yesterday.weather was pretty nice and the sea was really calm (alway good as i get pretty sea sick).

we were fishing for whiting and and an outside chance of a cod. it took about 2hours to getto our fishing spot which was past west bay. it was busy fishing straight from the start. got a mackkie first drop? surprised they were still about! for the next 2 1/3 hours it was an barrarge of whiting and some massive pout,with a few doggies thrown in. my best whiting was around 3lb and is far bigger than i've managed in the bristol channel shore fishing!!!
people onthe boat grew tired with catching whiting (bored of catching fish?? strange! ) so the skipper move to around chesil to try for a cod.
needless to say this was the kiss o death as fishing was poor,the same species caught but a lot less
anyway, for most of it, it was good and i'm happy with some big whiting. caught about 70 fish but only kept about 20 for family, so hopefully they can get even bigger by the time i go again

for anyone intersted in going on this boat, i will say that the skipper was nice and quite funny but we spent the same time traveling as fishing . next time its a faster boat for me
