| Re: forum boat trip report Thanks once again to Mike and Dan for their patience, advice and tea! At the start me, Kiwi and Kev were all fishing the same side and I was the most experienced uptider with one previous trip so it could have easily been a disaster but within an hour we were coping and all managed fish on what wasn't an easy day. Mike and Dan worked hard to get us on the fish while keeping us in areas were the sea state was just about OK for those of us without sea legs. Got my first ever ray (quickly followed by my second on the next cast) so very happy and 1.5 points better off. Embarrasingly I need a doggie for the species hunt and must have been the only one not to pick one up! |

| Re: forum boat trip report Everyone has to admit that the coral gave me one hell of a fight, oh and thanks for the day long ripping as well….you got a response though!!! Great to meet up with a few old friends and make a few more new ones….Don’t think I offended anyone!!?? If I did I would like this opportunity to say...**** Ya!  A few to thank….. Kev for organising the event. Cheers Bro. John for the use of a nice uptide rod. Mark for helping me and Kev with some decent weights and not the crap I bought with me….Damn coral!!  “Tommy (was it something I said) A” for the banter but above all, the slurp.  Dan for never allowing the kettle to cool and getting me out of a couple of snags. Mike for showing a newbie how to uptide and of course, wearing the only shirt to be worn this month.
