| Re: RNLI needs your help Having the need to seek help from the RNLI after the boat that i hired engine packed in rough conditions and we started taking water very fast. I can tell you that the relief that came when they appeared, the calm and authoritative nature that the boatman displayed will always live with me and i will always be indebted to them. I have just renewed my membership as i will always be indebted to them and would urge all fishermen to do the same as you never know when you might need them. ![]() David |

| Re: RNLI needs your help Remember there are a lot of ways to support the RNLI, joining as a member, arranging events through your local fishing/sailing club, digging out unwanted items and selling them through e-bay or the like; buying gifts, cards etc through their shop or volunteering as crew if you live in the right place! their value to anyone who gets close to the water is invaluable!! Happy New Year To everyone: John |

| Re: RNLI needs your help I was lucky enough to have a tour around the RNLI headquaters in Poole at the weekend as a friend of mine is one of their drivers. Had a look around the yard at all the ribs, hovercraft and lifeboats etc, then onto the wave machine so the crew/ recruits get some practice of rough seas after an hour or so looking around we ended up in the bar having a pint on the balcony of the new 26million pound college overlooking the bay. I must say that I still thing that these guys and girls are doing a fantastic job WELL DONE AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK![]() |

| Re: RNLI needs your help Hi I never had much to do with the RNLI Untill We had a steering problem 11 miles out from Hartlepool 4 years Ago.. Ever since then i have made my annual donations through my direct debit. Never had a cause to ask for their help since but seen them going out to help others. I cant say enough about these guys that will go out anytime and in any weather. If we don't give our financial support who will ?. Thanks to everyone who makes a donation. and will intend to do so.. | Re: RNLI needs your help I have been donating to my local station for many yrs .That way i actually see where the money is going to > Sending it to their main office it gets swallowed up by admin, (you would be surprised how much is wasted .) so if possible please donate to the individual station that way they are in control of the donation . ![]() |
