weymouth today

hi all.
just a quick report (as i've been up since 4am) about my boat trip out of weymouth on duchess 2.
me and "the machine aka dan" were sposed to go wrecking but the weather soon stopped that! instead we went insearch of black bream close to shore. anchored over a wreck and were overwhelmed by pout,bring one up, rebait, lower and insantly bring one up again. this went on for about 20mins then a couple of doggies arrived,and somewhere inbetween dan managed a nice cuckoo wrasse. we then moved to the shambles and it wasent long before dan was into his first ever turbot(bout 3lb). i then caught my first ever garfish(it was huge,sorry,no piccies)all was quiet for a while and then i managed my first ever brill(again 3lb ish). there was one more turbot caught by someone else on the boat, a couple of huge makkies and that was it. 15.30 we had one last try for black bream on some mussle beds but only a few pout were caught.
all in all, not a bad trip and two new speices,sweet!
(my apoliges if a have miss-spelled anything or left anything out, but i'm knacked ).
