| New Uptider Hi Guys I am considering getting another uptider... I currently have a Shimano Beastmaster 4-10oz Uptider with an Abu 7000 reel which is a lovely setup but I would like to get a slightly more sporting uptider for those calmer days when I dont need 8oz to hold bottom! | Re: New Uptider Hi john i have the 10oz abu suveran which is a cracking rod. if i was after a lighter rod i'd definatly look at the 8oz version. On the heavier rod you can still feel every bump from the fish so i can only assume the lighter version will nice and responsive in the lighter currents. john __________________ Catch and Release fishing is a lot like a game of golf. | Re: New Uptider Suveran Pro uptide 10oz does it for me too.....super bite detection and more than enough power to tame big beasties ,yet no too stiff,you gan get a good fight from smaller fish with it too.....The 8oz version is a bit like a blancmange i`m afraid ,and now ABU have seen sense and reintroduced the 10oz version no competion in the choice reallly...  |
