Charter boats off Exmouth

Anyone got any recommendations for good skippers and boats? Planning on organising a trip later this year, mostly novices. I've done mackeral fishing years ago but looking to go deep sea/wrecking.

Any help would be great. Wouldn't mind knowing if there are any that are worth avoiding too................. PM me if you like.

Thanks a lot.

Re: Charter boats off Exmouth

Just type in Exmouth fishing in Google and it will take you directly to their website with about 7 skippers listed - Shande is meant to be a good boat as is skipper Colin Dukes - hes been in Sea Angler but I have also had a very poor report on his attitude to novice fisherman from a very close mate of mine who was fuming about him a few years back.

Personally Id try Shande and Ian Geoff I think it is.

Enjoy whatever happens

Hi Noel,
"SHOP CAREFULLY" for a charter skipper who will take out a bunch of novices as
this means lots of work for them.

There's alot of good skippers who will put themselves out for you, but I doubt if they'll take you wrecking.

A few good skippers in exmouth, but wrecking is not really for beginners.

Re: Charter boats off Exmouth

Thanks for the advice. I'm very naive about this sort of thing so don't really know what would be best. We just want something a bit more exciting/interesting than mackeral fishing!

I don't really know anything about wrecking so I can understand why it wouldn't be a good idea!

Bass? Reef fishing?

I'll ring a few and ask around. Thanks again.

Re: Charter boats off Exmouth

Hi Noel,
you are in the right location for a boat trip, contact a skipper tell him the truth, ask for a bottom fishing trip and be ready to blank at worse.

Skippers can work their bums off for you but they cant put a fish on a hook.

John

Re: Charter boats off Exmouth

Unfortunately we won't be going. A few people have dropped out and I didn't realise boats got booked up so far in advance. I'll be sticking to land this summer!

Thanks for all your help though.
