Where to go for my first trip?

I’ve bought an inflatable Quicksilver 4.30 meters boat with 30hp two stroke Mariner outboard engine.
I intend to take it out for the first time next Saturday.
Can you advise me for a good place in south and west Wales or south England to launch it from?
A tip on how to fish there will be very useful - how far out, rigs, bait, tactics will be deeply appreciated!
