charter boats in looe / polperro ????please can you help

hi every one
im going down cornwall to polperro in may for a long weekend away and i fancy getting out for a days fishing ,
so im after some info and recomendations on boats in polperro and looe, and some contact details

I can't help specifically John, but I've had a few holidays in Looe. IIRC there are plenty of charters there advertising in the harbour, so its a case of take your pick. Shark fishing charters appeared to be popular when I was last there

i might end up doing that . id love to book up with a good boat early if i can. that way it saves the messing around with novice anglers tangleing me up all day
iv looked in to sharking, but the season runs from july 2 sept. fingers crossed il be going down again for that later in the year

if you get the chance to do any shore fishing theres a hotel near polperro called talland bay where i used to be head chef and the beach down from the hotel used to produce some good bass....

Hi John,

It's a few years since I last chartered from Looe, the majority of the boats were nothing but a rip off, and were just out to make money from the holidaymakers.

Do your homework first to ensure that you get a decent skipper.

i know where you mean, and yes i hope to have ago from the shore at some point ,every other time iv gone down there its been a bit dodgy to go on the cliffs (winds )so a beach would be a better bet

i know what you mean john its quite rough ground round there but there are some clear spots and beaches at portlander bay east of polperro, if you like walking with very little tackle its a great place to explore for bass
