Brixham breakwater owned! :)

I've got a friend interested in sea fishing as well now which is cool because I can have a bit of a competition to spice up the day out.

Anyway I've only been to Brixham breakwater once before. It was 4am and pitch black which ment I lost all my tackle because I couldn't see and didn't know where the rocks all were.

So today we decided to go there during daylight to do a bit of fishing and see where I went wrong last time. We were only there 3 hours but I knew it was going to be a good day because......

/Simon casts out his float for the first time

*4 seconds pass*

Simon: "Fish on!"

Reel in 1 1/2lb maccky

/Simon casts out

*10 seconds pass*

Simon: "Fish on"

Antony (Simon's mate) "For christ sake Simon, I haven't even got set up yet and you're 2-0 in front :)"

In the 3 hours we ended up with so much makky I have no room left in my freezer after clearing out the un-important stuff like food. We also had 4 GrrrFish.

The sunset was lovely across Brixham marina and the folks down there were as nice as you'll find anywhere.

A great day and one of the best this year so far.

Went to Brixham for the afternoon a week or so back and forgot to take a rod so had to make do with half an hour crabbing with my daughter in the harbour!

If you had just stood by the water the maccky would have jumped into your hands.

Some people will never learn :)
