hot outlet pipe at shoreham

Any one know about hot water outlet pipe near Shoreham East Sussex. Is it still there ??. Can it be fished by boat or shore. Have you fished there recently if so did you do any good.

Get a lot of mainly small bass there although there are some better sized fish in amongst them. The pipe also attracts mullet and mackerel but may be too later in the year now.

Behind Shoreham Power station. You can fish from a boat at high tide but alot of people fish off the end of the pipe whens its uncovered. You can fish the beach either side of it as well.

Re: hot outlet pipe at shoreham

Hi mate
I discovered the hot water pipe this year and last fished there in october. havent been to sucessful myself having only caught 1 mullet but having seen others walking away with buckets of fish i know its a good spot. i mostly saw people using lures or feathers and these were catching mullet makeral and bass. best time seemed to be the hour before dusk with the tide a good way in. make sure to wear wellies too than you can fish for a little while longer when the water is breaking over the jetty. i managed to stay on it till about an hour and a half before high tide but by than the jetty is submerged and can be a bit dangerous. i would imagine that now the sea is getting a bit colder it could be a good holding spot for many species. if you do decide to use lures make sure you keep them well off bottom as they can snag easily and there is a ledge a little way out which you need to get over. finially make sure you park in the carpark a little further up and not by the jetty itself as you will get a clamp slapped on to your car.as i said ive not had too much luck there having been about 3 times but that is nothing unusual this year for me having been unlucky for the majority of it. if you manage to make it there let me know how you got on or anything that works well.
best of luck
