bait pump

can anyone please advise me on how to use a bait pump do you draw up the
worms with it or is it just for removing the sand.

You place the pump over the cast and draw out a column of sand .
Hopefully the worm will be in one of these columns
Dont want to teach you to suck eggs but you cant use a pump on blow lug.

thanks gulleyworm its all new to me and I am glad people on this forum reply to what must seem straight forward questions to some people.

it takes alot of practice you will cut quite a few,
but dont give up .
also dont put the the pump in to far about 6"-8"or so
it will prob take more than one pump to extract the worm,
also use vegi oil to lube the pump and dont have it set too tight.
take the vegi oil down with you to keep it lubricated
have fun .

Do you always use vegatable oil to help with your lubrication Rich????
