any peelers in the shops?

does anyone know of any peelers being sold in kent, or a cheapish mail order company?

the crabs just aren't playing the game at the mo so i'm gonna have to buy them.

Re: any peelers in the shops?

"peelers"?
Arround here "peelers" is just another name for strippers (AKA - dancing girls).
Generally not for sale - but sometimes. Though I have never heard of the mail order option.

Best Wishes

Re: any peelers in the shops?

i'm beginning to wonder if they've peeled in deeper water. even the professional collectors aren't getting enough to get any sort of a supply to the shops. there aren't even many hard crabs under the rocks and alot of the ones that are there have got eggs.

i think its a bit early yet,the water temperature is still unseasonably low,get a few warmer days and they might start peeling everywhere

Thumbs up Re: any peelers in the shops?

Hi big guy

I bought live peelers in Deal on Sunday 7th of May....from 'Johns' Tackle' along at the end of The Strand....

I believe they were collected locally by the bait diggers... I know they are not off the boats as I asked.

They were £4 per 1/2 Dozen.... and may have been cheeper for more

Re: any peelers in the shops?

i've seen some peelers around for the last three weeks at various places, I think Tight Lines in Totton has been getting some in, although some that my mate bought weren't peeling and at 95p a pop . . .
