| I was talking to Portland Pirate today. He said that Mackerel are being caught on Chesil. Anyone else had any off the beach down there yet. I need a few for the freezer as bait. Also I actually enjoy catching a few Definately feels like summer here when you hit into em. __________________ Don't Judge My Path If You Haven't Walked My Journey... |

| Re: Mackies on Chesil Fished at west bexington on sunday with two newbies to fishing with me. They managed to feather for most of the day! and couldnt cast more than 40 yards but caught three mackys at about 17:00! I kept trying when nothing else happening but even with a little better casting ability, still nout! I wouldnt recommend a special trip out!!! give it a couple more weeks, maybe!! ![]() |

| Re: Mackies on Chesil The early Mackerel shoals tend to be either very small or as is normal very large with over 100,000 fish in a shoal. However they tend to be a bit further out normally over 100m. Give it another couple of weeks and they will start to move slightly closer inshore. __________________ Check my blog for a daily fishing forecast from Weymouth, Portland, Chesil Beach & Kimmeridge Bay. www.fishingtails.co.uk |

| Re: Mackies on Chesil Hi Greenheart I'm off to West Bex tomorrow for a daylight session with a novice mate. If I see any I'll let you know. Any tips for Chesil at the moment?
