| hardbacks and hooks surfing the forum ive found alot of talk about using hard backs for species like smuts and wrasse! how do i go about attaching them to my hook? wot sort of size am i looking at? cheers in advance lads for any help! __________________ SCUPPER A COMMERCIAL TOOOO DAY! |

| Re: hardbacks and hooks When I use hardbacks for Wrasse I pull the legs off, cut the crab in half from front to back then put the hook point of a 4/0 Cox and Rawle uptide hook through the first leg joint then out of the last one. Depending on the crab size I may use a whole crab. | Re: hardbacks and hooks Have had a lot of sucess float fishing whole hardbacks in west wales for Wrasse.Usually just hook them thro the rear trianguar bit and back out ofthe shell,leave all the legs on also,the wriggling legs add to the attracton i think....size 3/0 vikings are good strong hooks for the Wrasse..... ![]() __________________ Mike..
