forum smut meet, in KENT?

i was just wondering if any of you kentish peeps are interested in the southern smut meet but can't make the long journey down south for whatever reason.

so would any of you be interested in a kent smut meet?

prob late may or june best times, there's a few venues to choose from to try and suit everyone. and some good pubs to meet in too.

so what do you recon?

Sounds good to me big guy, i'm sure there are people who can't get down to the south coast due to work commitments who would love to meet up a bit closer to home. Or even for people from down that way who fancy a trip up to our neck of the woods!! Great idea lets see what happens eh!!

with creedy wanting a night on the breakwater and with it being the best smut venue in kent,why don't we combine the two ?

that sounds a good idea to me.

a big drop net will be needed though. and anyone that says a deffo yes are gonna have to go, or find a replacement as the trip will still have to be paid for if you can't make it.

creedy, any idea how much notice they need to book one of the trips m8?

Sounds good to me, u'll have to advise me on tactics nearer the time never fished for hounds off the shore!! Let me know time and place, can meet in a pub to pay for the breakwater up front if required

Your need some " Hermen Hermits" try the Whelk boats at Whitstabubble. ask them to keep some back when they go out Whelking.

i aint no expert on smuts but from what i've heard/ read you need big crab baits and thats about it.

i should be able to get some hermits from a mate of mine and i'm planning to tank my own crabs this year so i should have quite a few peelers too (hopefully).

so all we need is names and a date, then we're all set.

I wouldn't say you need big baits for smuts myself........i normally get two or three baits out of a decent size beach crab!! I find that the bigger the bait when there on the feed the more runs your get with lost fish. small baits normally hook the fish straight away.

hiya Big guy, just joined, am well into the smut meet am based in ramsgate, let me know time and place, can meet up before for a beer and sort out, am good mate's with james just lives round the corner and we fish a lot together tight lines buddy.
