places around cardiff to fish ?

anybody here fishing around the cardiff area i am in need of new places to fish and wondered if anyone had any ideas thanks

thanks mike off the shore for now i have been a few times down to ogmore deeps but not a sniff down there also tried marshfield but only small fish there and would also like to try boat fishing but not sure how to go about it ?

Most boats run days for individuals,usually mid week,and most hire basic boat gear so you can give it a go without commiting to buying gear ....

plenty of good shore marks to try,Penarth Pier (usually crowded),penarth beach,The RAnny,St Marys Well Bay,Sully Island and loads more......

i know penarth but wheres the ranny and st mary wells bay ?

Cost is £25 ...

The Ranny is further along penarth beach heading towards Lavernock point,St Marys Well is between Lavernock Point and Sully...

thanks what about rod hire and bait ? and whens best to book also do you know whats being caught at the ranny ?

Rod hires a fiver for the day,bait at the mo is worm squid,readily available at local tackle shops.

Small codling and whiting coming from the ranny at the......
