| Re: Ron Thompson G-Force combo I've never used the longbeams. It would be worthwhile asking the other members if they have any experience with them.  Re: Ron Thompson G-Force combo A Beginner friend of mine bought a Ron Thompson G-Force on offer from the Glasgow angling centre for £20 plus an Okuma reel for £15. For the money I can't fault it. As on Mules rod the tip ring broke & was replaced with a Fuji, but otherwise it seems a nice rod.
