| Re: john chapman hi john, r,e, highcliffe, when we've bin down there we have fished off the groynes, pitching camp on the gravel tops, either one side or the other usualy is free of weed depending on the tide plus the hight keeps yer line out of the surf and any weed washing about in it. however the rocks that edge the groynes can be awkward to fish over and sometimes its better to go straight off the beach. though its tempting to cast straight off the ends to get further 'out' we seem to get more success from casting out from the sides. macky/squid and worm baits have all been successful i've not been down for a while , my m8 has last month but he blanked bar a few mackerel;l likely catches are;- doggies , pout, whiting, eels ,sole or bass maybe a ray. good luck, geejayy. __________________ beer so many venues, so little time. |

| Re: john chapman 'ammo' froze sandeel should give a good chance of ray, it should attract the other stuff too bar the sole, you'll def need worm baits for them. __________________ beer so many venues, so little time. |
