Guernsey Bass Trip

how do forum peeps,just got off the phone to an old mate who i used to fish with in guernsey and he had 3 bass from an old rock mark we use to fish , the biggest being 11lb 7oz jammy bugger !!! so ive just booked a day trip to join up with him tomorrow (£19.50 ) leave weymouth at 8am , arrive guernsey 10.15 am and return at 12pm i think this is an absolute bargin and if anyone is intreted in going in the near future(next weekend ) then im prepared to organise it , at that price ill be going every weekend !!! ...so folks if anyone is free next weekend or the weekend after (sun ) then pm me and lets go bass fishing!!! you can also take the car (£109.00 with 2 passengers) ............kev

Just shows what you can do know was looking at prices to flying to canary islands at the weekend in the winter ( think quick weekends fishing ) and it cheap

well my trip to geurnsey was not as good as i expected as the weather changed as we got there , but we did manage to get one bass to 2lb a few mackeral and some pollock but not that double figure bass that im determined to catch from the shore this year!!!! not to worry as im planning to go next weekend again, just hope the weather is better ...the geurnsey shore bass festival is on at the moment so hopefully i will find out which part of the island is fishing best ...if any one fancies a trip over let me know as the ferries are still doing day trips for £19.50 ...........kev

Sorry to hear the trip didn't produce the monster Bass you were after mate.

i made a mistake with the bass festival dates they are the 19th -22nd august and not july i must be working to hard !!... i would love to enter this but im in zante (greece) untill the 18th then have to go to scotland,but im planning to go over on the 28th or 29th aug ,so if anyone has some spare time to hunt bass then pm me .......kev
