As i drove past Allens marine tackle shop i made a last minute uncontrolable decision to fish(As wont be able to fish till tuesday) and he very kindly sorted me some peelers and worm (as i had not ordered it).My yougest daughter volunteered to come and be bodygaurd as my regular fishing partners are away or busy going away,After much thought i decided to fish at southampton as it seems less weedy.

Started fishing about nine and had a few bites but didnt connect then Ben turned up without any tackle and gave me a casting lesson demonstration on the Helicopter cast with one of my rods which i practised an hour later after he left and had 5 or 6 birdies and 2 Krak offs

I managed to land 7 smoothys from the smallest i have ever seen to just on 3lbs
but i missed half a dozen bites and lost 2 much better fish after very long battles very near the shore
Roll on tuesday gonna try to the east.

nice report, you lucky git, you just aint got the knack for helicopter casting, i will show you how its done next saturday or whenever i next fish i bet your girl was loving watching you try to cast
now thats quite embarising getting casting tips from me
have a good session on tuesday without your usual fishing partner again

No Ben she thought my Helicopter cast were hilarious mostly when i was calling my self all the w***ers in the world but she was most impressed with you casting.I just thought you were showing of myself

Yes mate its true about BENS NEW GIRLFRIEND,It came as a shock to see Ben on the beach and not carrying 80lb of fishing tackle

I just hope she`s into fishing or it could get pretty quiet on here
