Re: shakespear cliff dover

Hello mate,

Not fished there for years, but remember it being a high-water venue; I take it you mean Shakespeare beach on the other side of the railway line.

Be really interested to hear how you get on - would think there's a good chance of Mackerel and Bass. Might be worth taking a plug or two as well as some feathers.

I think the nearer you get to the cliff itself, the rockier it gets...

Let us know what happens.

Thinking about a visit to Samphire Hoe myself next week - can't imagine the fishing is much different there...

Cheers,
JB.

Not sure what day I'll be "hoe-ing", but I'll post it up here before I go.. Could be Monday, early-ish, say 7:30 or 8:00... If not, Wednesday or Thursday.

Cheers,
JB.

Hi Chaps,

I'm really interested to hear how your Samphire/Shakespeare trips go, these are probably the closest bits of "real" sea to me but all I ever catch at Samphire is Wrasse and Crabs. Please Please Please post your results and any tips you have for fishing these areas, I'd really appreciate it
