| Re: bream from the beach i have caught most of my bream on big hooks but i know that isnt the usual way try using some freshwater hooks, size 10 or 8 should do it, either that or some circular hooks of some sort or some size 6 aberdeens with an off set point try not to leave and dangleing bits of bait like a worm tail because they will have it, sometimes squid+rag is good cause the squid lasts longer the key is sitting on your hands though and letting the fish hook it self using the weight of a grip lead or something __________________ Bens The Name And Catchings The Game Anti the Anti's |

| Re: bream from the beach Sounds like small bream of about 2-6 ozs Yes small hooks 8 - 10 ( short snoods ) but if using squid use the tenticals ( spelt wrong I think ) Just cut one off then cut it in half and the tip the hook with it When bream hit the bait they will not be alone thus they will go mad on the bait . Worms ect can be stripped in a second but squid lasts a bit longer and gives the bream chance to get hooked __________________ Richard|Sea Fishing |Carp Fishing| Spud Gun | Zander fishing | Fishing Reports | Hunting Reports Last edited by Fishing Forum Admin; 06-13-2005 at 07:56 PM. |
