I'll see what I can do. Someone better flippin well help me carry the mutha down the breakwater though, and that sack of charcoal. heehee. Don't think I have any lighting stuff though, so that would be handy if someone else could bring. Oh, and some flour to coat the mackerel fillets in. They taste gooooood like that.

It might save you some sweat and tears if you pop into Sainsburys and buy a disposable one!! The breakwater is about 1/2 mile long, and Chubb fishes near the end........the wrong end if you are carrying heavy stuff!!!

Nice to meet you and Plod last night, Chubb. Was a good little first jaunt for me getting back into fishing. That good old shoulder ache came back. hehe.

Plenty of mackerel around at the moment, and they're taking the tinsel traces very nicely indeed. Caught a beauty on one of them, then I caught the biggest thing of the night, one of the ropes of those damn lobster pots! Gonna have to buy some more now. Grrrrr!

Glad you enjoyed yourself Devonutopia, it was good to meet you and Chubb.
It was great to see all of those fish boiling on the surface, and casting in amongst them hoping that a bass would snaffle up the dexter. Not so lucky unfortunately but was virtually guaranteed a mackeral a cast.

After you went, things quietened down for me, although Chubb was having some success up the end on the inside. Those lads that turned up decided to let their floats drift right across in front of me, so I gave up in the end, rather than argue. !/2 mile of breakwater and they fish where I am. T@#sers!!
