Will I need a shockleader ?

Hi all.

Have new multi, and it's loaded with 15lb red ice. I'm planning too use it for light beach work (3-4oz leads) casting as far as I can..

Will I need a shockleader for that?

Will be after bass, brill etc.. over in Jersey

Yes
Even with light leads and a gentle lob you will stilll snap off as the knots will weeken the line even further.
As long as you not belting it out though you can get away with a light leader of say 30lb,just dont pendulem it Also a great help if landing a decent fish.

Nope, but I only need too a gentle lob where I fish with a 1.5oz (max for me) with 12lb line

12lb line your fish must be nothing but musscle lol i use a 8lb line with silkworm hair rig braided snood thats on the end of a method feeder.
