Help please.

Ok..... question for someone/all to answer.

Peeler crab...........Hook.

what do you do between these two items ???

I have bought 10 live peelers ..... and for the life of me I cannot figure out how to hook them. I have searched for detailed pics.... cant find any. I can see pics of what its supposed to look like when its finished.... but not how you arrive at the finished item.

Can't help much, just know it needs a good wrapping of bait elastic round it

take all the hard bits off, you should be left with a juicy blob of crab, remove the lungs(yellow bit) because it can go off and taint the flesh
depending on what you are after cut to a suitable size, half is normaly good, put on the hook with plenty of bait elastic and then tip off with 1-2 of the legs

put the leg on the end of the hook (so the point is still showing) to make it look more real
people do it alot with squid, put a small slice of squid on the end of the hook after a rag worm or something and it sometimes helps to attract more fish

A very good description of how to put the crab on the hook. I have always been told to take the lungs out of the crab, but personally i cant see how it effects the bait. My arguement has always been, the fish wont be picking out the lungs when its on the sea bed. I have caught my fair share of fish with lungs in, so i suppose its up to the person.

yes I was wonderin that about the lungs...... but then i thought..... Ben's the expert so I'll just do as i am told.
