what fish and when

i'm pretty new to this type of fishing and i haven't a clue about fishing seasons. i live in aberdeen and would like to know if someone could tell me what time of year i could fish for different types of fish. the only one i know is cod from october to march. i would be greatful of any help. thanks in advance.

alright gas man, on the beach where i fish, opposite the ice rink, you can catch flounder, dab and palce, flounder and dab are alegedly there all year but i can only catch them from late april through to end of october, place show them selves from end of july to end of october, at the mouth of the don you can catch small flounder,but theres a refuse pipe outlet there so i stick to the beach, where sizes range from a quarter of a pound to a very nice 2 pound flounder/place (i still don't know what i was but it tasted good),
i don't know much about the red rock so i will leave that well alone, but the beach is very good fishing in the summer and it can be very nice there too and not too far to walk.

thats cool, was a realy good day, caught 15 fish, biggest being 2lb 7ox place, 3 others just under 2lb and the rest all under 1lb.
will do, probobly going a week on saterday, the 28th may, will confirm this probobly on sunday
