Re: Sussex forum meet anyone ????

As I was planning a fishing trip next Sunday anyway and Pevensey is just down the road, I would be up for a meet. High tide in Eastbourne is at 10:51am according to my tables.

Steve

Sounds like a plan.... an early start then from london but that is no issue... if there are any better venues nearby then let that might ba plan - then again i have never blanked at Pevensy

What time would you recommend starting there and also want is being pulled out of the water at the moment

Cheers

Nik

Re: Sussex forum meet anyone ????

Nik,

It looks like you have me confused with someone who knows what they are doing. I only took up fishing relatively recently and do not get that many opportunities to go fishing. The only thing I have managed to catch recently is rockling.

Steve.

Re: Sussex forum meet anyone ????

looks like we will be in the same boot then so to speak

When i fished Pevensy before i found that most of the action happened around the high tide (we fishing all the way in and then an hour or two after) so i think an early start will be called for if the high is just about 11am

My email is nik_at_clani.co.uk- ping me a mail and i will send you my mobile number so we can hook up down there

Cheers

Re: Sussex forum meet anyone ????

I did go, and the only fish I managed to catch was a pouting.

Nick, the reason I didn't email you is that when I came to do it on the Friday, my computer monitor literally blew up.

Apparently the summer species have started to show up, with a fair number of school bass being caught (but not by me).

No Problem Steve - and well done on the Pouting - i will check my diary and see when i should be able to fit in a trip as i have to get fishing soon - something always seems to happen at the last minute...

Are there any good piers / jettes that you know of down there
