| Usually a place called Cleveleys fishes ok when the conditions are good, but this time of year you will find it pretty quiet in daylight. Try fishing in the dark with sandeel baits, when they get dogfish and also the past few years a lot of small tope have been caught from the shore, but these are very very small so dont go rushing for the wire traces just yet. You will be fishing from a promenade, but if you decide to start at low water, take care to watch the tide as it floods, the gullies at the back of the beach tend to fill up quickly, tide coming in behind you if you like, and when they fill the water runs so hard that they are hard to wade through. Ragworm and crab baits will find you plaice and flounder, but dont expect hectic sessions, Blackpool is a place that is good when the conditions are right, but darkness will up your catch stakes. Hope this is useful.. |
