| Looking for somewhere to go Hi Everyone, Me and a friend of mine mostly fish lake's etc but want to give sea fishing a shot and have done for some time. We ain't too sure where about's to go though. We was just looking to fish for mackerel to start with. We was thinking of heading to bridlington pier at the weekend or bank holiday. How is it there? We are from the West Yorkshire area, any advice would be great! Thanks, Mick |

| Re: Looking for somewhere to go Hi I'm from west yorkshire. Fished brid Pier last month and only caught a dab, guys next to me caught just 2 dabs. In fact me and my mate have fished all the marks from Easington up to Flamborough and blanked every time and you get virtually no reports about catches on the East Coast. Don't get me wrong I love the East Coast my family came from their, Brid Actually, so decided to go to the West Coast. Just started going to Wirral. Blanked first time last week, but weather changed for the worst so not disapointed, but a guy who was fishing the low tide before the weather changed came off with a bag full of plaice and a good bass. I'm going back on Sunday to try again, only this time to fish low tide. People are catching loads over there and there is a multitude of different kinds of marks to choose from. Plus for me being on pension its only 65 miles opposed to 92, so I get a saving on cost of travel' Hope this helps Kajydog ![]() |
