Help needed for combined use

Hello,

I've been surf fishing for the past years but never got really into it.
me and 2 of my friends are about to purchase three kayaks in order to do some kayak fishing. (by the way I'm from Israel).
now the thing i need help about is - I'm trying to find a decent reel that will suffice me in surf fishing as well as in kayak fishing..
i know these are two different fishing styles and i don't expect a perfect fit in both but i would like to have a good reliable reel that would suffice for both styles.
I'm getting myself familiar with different reels and having trouble understanding which of the differences between them makes the reels better for a particular type of fishing.
i already know i will probably need two rods, a long one for surf and a shorter one for kayak so i guess the reel is the only problem here.

the reel is the easy part but i agree the rods need to be of different lenghts .
If you use a shore casting multiplier for surf fishing it will be just as good from the 'yak.. likewise a decent sized saltwater fixed spool reel will be fine for both . Unless you intend to paddle into 300ft of water i can't see theres much difference in the two styles .. line can stay the same and the capacity of the spool will be the same ..

i assume the only casting will be a gentle lob from the yak so any reel with decent gears and smooth drag will be fine

that's great - i've been waiting for quite a while to hear this answer.
but i still need a recommendation for a good reel... let's say 100$ top.

i wanna buy something on eBay because in Israel prices are crazy.
i hope my 100$ per reel will do - but if you guys think I'm wrong about this please say so.. :)

100 bucks will get you plenty of reel .. look for a nice abu , shimano or daiwa
