Bossington Somerset Fishing

Bossington Somerset Fishing ? Well whilst reading the old Seaangler noticed Bossington and I think I have never fished there so was wondering if anyone has ??

Is it fish able all states of the tide and is it fishing any good at the moment as I fancy a little cast down there sometime

Hi Richard,

I have fished Bossington a few times. If the water is clear then you need to fish it after dark. If coloured up then will be ok for a day session.

Around Porlock and Bossington there a loads of Doggies, plus at Bosington you can get Smooooothounds later on, the odd codling shows, Conger at night, small Pollock and the odd small eyed rays and thornbacks.

Sandeel and Mackeral best baits at night/day plus worm to pick out other small species such as pout.

Mmmm may go down this coming Sunday....but at night as its Easter hols and millions of grockles and emmitts around during the day

look at this web site it tells you all about fishing the Bristol channel and what the best bait is. www.zen18975.zen.co.uk look under venues and Bossington on there.
