South Parade Pier Portsmouth

Hey guys, Last i heard the south parade pier was closed for the foreseeable future due to undersized fish being taken. Just wondering if this was still in force to anyone's knowledge, i have lived in Portsmouth just over a year and not been fishing once due to things, but would like to get back into it as was a regular fresh water angler before i moved. Thanks.

It's open mate, it was never shut. No one really gives a monkeys about taking undersize fish, one of the reasons i try to avoid the pier.
I did however take my lad mackerel fishing off it the other day and caught plenty.

Ah sweet thanks for the info mate, I will be defiantly trying it when I get back. Have you any tips for a complete beginner to this type of fishing?
