| Re: makerel - How long? Mackerel will still be coming off Abbotsbury at the end of September and are caught off the coast off Cornwall most of the year round tho i personally have only fished for them on the south coast not the Atlantic side.. Out of interest, which part of depressingly exciting Wiltshire are you in ? Luckily i spend more time in Hampshire and Dorset than i do at home ![]() __________________ Shore Species 2012: Dab-Flounder-Herring-L.S.Dogfish-Pouting-Shore Rockling-5 Bearded Rockling-Small Eyed Ray-Turbot-Whiting |

| Re: makerel - How long? Mackerel come of the North Cornish coast most of the year tho I wouldn't bother with Jan,feb or march the mackerel shoals do tend to break up after a strong blow and take a few days to get back unless its very cold when they just tend to move to deeper water, mackerel generally tend to come from crackington and most areas west, although they will also be caught on the north devon coast as well as cornwall __________________ 20 years of marine biology can't be wrong but apparently it is |
