dorset

hi guys im thinking of a few days camping on the dorset coast any recomendations wheres best and what would be expected catch wise any info would be very greatfull for them

One of the best places in the country IMHO.

You could camp at any of the numerous camp sites along the beach. If you are looking to come at this time of year I would recommend looking at West bay then you could fish for Plaice at West Bexington or Cogden. Later on in the Summer the Weymouth end of Chesil fishes better for species such as Bream. You can get Mackerel all along the beach.

Theres a campsite in Westbay that opens for a few weeks in july until end of august, charges about £9 per night for 1 person and £14 for 2 people.
You can call them and ask when they are open but you'll need to say its with respect to Brit Valley Campsite as they have 2 different sites, not sure where the other site is though. Its on the main drag into Westbay on the right hand side, it's fairly basic but the toilet and shower ammenities were good and clean.
