Re: Pingu's Party and meet 17th April 2005

Ok heres some more information
West bexington is on the West end of Chesil Beach (Between Bridport and Abbotsbury)
The turning for where the meet is marked and is opposite "The Bull Inn" in Swyre

High Tide on the 17th will be at 11.46 AM and low at 18.02PM

species caught there can varie from flatties, coddling, smoothies, Makkie, garfish, Doggies and who knows what else with the way fishings going lately

I am intending to get there for arround 9.30 am (hangover dependant) till about 5ish and will bring some pies

Car parking is 40p per hour or £2.50 all day(machine does not take £2 coins)

There is a huge tackle shop/bait supplies in Weymouth, open Sunday mornings from 6.30 if so keen 01305 777771, never used them but herar they are fine. At other end there is a bait supplies(west bay watersports) on road into west bay from the roundabout with crown inn pub, I can vouch that their bait is fine and they are open sunday morning but will need to ring and reserve by Wed before 01308 421800

there is no need to walk far from the carpark(its a slog over chesil gravel anyway), was intending to go just to the right(looking out to sea).

there are toilets open 24 hours and clean ,and a tea hut by the carpark, which should be open (But bring flask incase)
this is view to east

There is alot of chesil bank to fill so hope that there are plenty there
view to west

any questions please PM. I cant answer too much more but will try

Dave

Anyone mind if I tag along. It's been ages since I have fished! Andy, do you want to come to mine and we travel down in one car?

Smile Re: Pingu's Party and meet 17th April 2005

Dave,

Should be able to make it for a few hours and give the rod(s) a bit of a thrash!

Is it worth having some kind of sign (maybe you could wear a carnation with a paper under your arm) so we know where you are?

Chris
