Caister Pier/Beach Fishing

Hi All

I am going to Caister in a couple weeks and would like to know what the fishing is like there, looking to some of the pier or beach.

What time of day is best?
How much does it cost?
Can i rent rods?
What is the best bait to use, and where to get it from?

Any other info is welcome
