| Newbee at Redcar Hi everyone, just started this great hobby, actually been fishing for 40years but always had my brother to set me up and bait me up, all I did was sit there. Now I am doing it all and enjoyong every minute, only my second week so wish me luck, and ant advice is welcome, I have been fishing Saltburn Pier ![]() |

| Re: Newbee at Redcar Yes I believe he is a top fishermen, he now lives in NZ and when I get the chance to visit we go fishing, It's so different there, I caught lots of snapper,small shark also a Ray but it was to much for me so he took over and still lost it too. The one that got away. But its great at Saltburn weed or no weed. |

| Re: Newbee at Redcar As you live Redcar, why not go to South Gare, closer for you, fish off the beach to the Redcar side, some big Bass been caught there, or off the lighthouse, But be careful, some climb over the side, one killed the other week. I keep my boat down there. |

| Re: Newbee at Redcar Yes you are right. but I live 12000 miles away but used to do as you say around the lighthouse and at the billet hole. In those days we never saw Bass, what has changed? Please tell me its not globle warming! |
