| Down to hayling. Hi guys and girls, I'm on Hayling for a week bit of sun sea and fishing. usually Eaststokes end opp Nutbourne rd. | Re: Down to hayling. Well all thanks for the encouragement, Monday afternoon got out for 3 hours not a nibble, the same during night 5 hours nothing, except a small whiting I think. See photo (Apr2011 in album). I think the poor little sod got caught up when I was reeling in and managed to get a size 2 hook caught in the gill. I admit I was not best pleased with bait, rag and squid. I will not mention where I purchased it from except to say local.  On Wednesday I returned with fresh bait from Havant, a blustery day and night with rain starting around 10pm. By 11pm the wind picking up and 3 hours after high I gave up. Thursday went out for again and still nowt to show after a most of the day on the beach. But on walking the dog later that afternoon I was privilege to see 3 lovely looking specimens trawling along the waters edge, not more than 10 feet from where I was standing in clear calm water.  The tide coming in and getting dark very fast it was a race to get back grab gear and run but FPO said no,  early start in morning, dinner on table I was not allowed out to play..All in I enjoyed myself, my middle girl got loads of practice casting out the dog got plenty fresh air and the fish had a good laugh. I know where your hiding and I will be back.
