Re: Inshore fishing marks/charts/maps

Hi Sharpy, dont know wether its any good But I got a book called DIVE SOUTH WEST and it tells you where all the wrecks are and their gps locations, but the one I got goes from Plymouth Sount to Lyme Regis, may be there is another book for your area.
Its a fantastic book as it tells you how the boats went down and why.
Most of them were bombed from the second world war and sometimes they tell you the plane and the pilot. The book lists some 260 wrecks and costs £14.95 and the author is Kendall McDonald.
Hope this helps.
nigel.

Cool Re: Inshore fishing marks/charts/maps

Hi Sharpy,

Pixie is right there is a local dive book for your area...Lyme bay to Portland. I saw a copy last year whilst on a charter out of Beer. So it does exist the skiper uses it to find his wrecks.

Might be an idea to go to a local marina and look in the chandelry shop.

Not really mate cos they only really talk about dive sites and the wrecks.
Tell you what I use.. http://www.multimap.com

You can see your local area from the air, its great for seeing the coastline, your see small coves and rock marks you never knew exsisted. Check it out.
